The Hope.

During MATS24, sailor and adventurer Conrad Humphreys was keynote speaker on the subject of data and AI. Anthony painted two oil depictions onto the foresails of Bounty; rigged as a cutter for the next evolution of this extraordinary boat, the paintings depicted a scene from ‘Mutiny’ and a view of a glacier from the Beagle channel.

The two sails implied chapters of a book as the boat was exhibited at the National Oceanogaphic Centre, Southampton.

The sails were subsequently flown at the Southampton Boat Show and Plymouth pirate weekend.

Anthony is now working on a long term project to marry art and adventure on this iconic vessel, as The Hope; a survey cutter aboard The Beagle during its’ explorations of Tierra Del Fuego and Galapagos….
